Sue Theiler's Story
When I purchased my Bernina 200, there were a lot of flowers in the designs that came with the machine. I love flowers and can't seem to grow them myself, so I embroidered them on a quilt and named it "The Flowers I Wish I Could Grow." Each block is framed with two different colors of green and the entire thing is hand quilted by me. I won the award for best hand quilting at the 2006 Marshfield (WI) Quilt Show. I have been quilting for years and felt very honored to win that award. I feel my stitches aren't as good as they used to be and blame it on older eyes and stiffer hands. I hand quilt every week with a group of ladies at my church. The youngest lady is 64 and the oldest is 92. They all love to quilt and and there's lots of chatting and laughter while they are quilting.
